Tree House Sessions

For four years I co-hosted a regular open mic night in a bookshop in Kenilworth, UK. The event became a hub for local writers and musicians; a space for people to test new work, share ideas, collaborate with others and gain experience of performing in front of an audience. We placed a focus on creating a welcoming, supportive and respectful atmosphere. Several of the musicians who came to the event on a regular basis have since gone on to be professional musicians. The event also raised thousands of pounds to support the bookshop, which was a not-for-profit organisation.
